Blue Frontier Attains Double Shortlist Achievement at UK Social Media Awards
We’re delighted to share that Blue Frontier has been shortlisted in not one, but two categories at the 2025 UK Social Media Awards! We’re up for Best Use of Instagram and Best Long-Term Strategic Use of Social Media for our work with Lutosa and British Cables Company (BCC).

Our Work with Lutosa
Our recognition in the Best Use of Instagram category is for our shared collaboration and ongoing work with Lutosa. Lutosa is a trusted supplier of premium chilled and frozen potato products, serving restaurants, pub groups, independent caterers, and foodservice professionals throughout the UK and across the globe.
We were approached by Lutosa’s marketing team in 2024 as they were looking for specialist social media support to help manage and grow their UK Instagram account. Fast forward to early 2025, and our team joined the brand at a leading industry expo to capture footage of real chefs trying Lutosa products in the style of fun interviews and quick-fire questions.
This content formed the basis for a series of creative reels that balanced light-hearted fun with authentic product information, as shown in our recently launched ‘For the Chefs Who Know Quality’ campaign.


The result? Lutosa’s UK Instagram account saw the following successes:
- 53% audience growth in three months.
- Over 36,000 views generated in one consecutive month from 10 videos.
- An average engagement rate of 3.8% – up 25% from the previous period.
This project showcases the importance and effectiveness of using social-native video in social media strategies, whether that’s for B2B or B2C.

Our Work with British Cables Company
Our second shortlisted category is Best Long-Term Strategic Use of Social Media for our work with BCC. With 129 years of history, BCC is a leading cable manufacturer that is trusted by National Rail and many of the UK’s foremost telecommunications and utilities providers.
In early 2023, we were selected by BCC as their chosen digital marketing partner to deliver strategies to modernise their digital social media presence. BCC had previously used traditional marketing and sales strategies, while our work marked a step forward for the brand in our mission to make cables current.
We looked at implementing organic and paid marketing strategies to aid business growth. Across our two-and-a-half-year partnership, we have helped to grow their LinkedIn following and engagement, and have launched a brand TikTok to more directly reach end-user audiences of electricians, installers, and wholesalers. This TikTok account has achieved several viral videos, helping to gain more followers than their pre-established LinkedIn account.



We also captured social-first images and video at two dedicated content days in their factory in Manchester to provide further insight into how cables are made. Leveraging a modern TikTok strategy has allowed the brand to stand out with content that informs and engages. This ranges from videos about cable manufacturing to factory ASMR.
This has resulted in:
- Monthly audience growth rates averaging 5% on LinkedIn and 15% on TikTok.
- Over 200,000 organic impressions on TikTok and almost 100,000 on LinkedIn.
- 950+ new website visits generated by paid LinkedIn advertising campaign.
- Increased demand in B2C markets.
Overall, LinkedIn and TikTok have seen stable long-term growth, which has resulted in a successful and varied online presence for BCC. While business decision makers are targeted via LinkedIn, TikTok has been paramount to community building and appealing to new audiences.
