We are a global agency building brands with relevance through social-first thinking. Working at the intersection of community and commerce, we get brands closer to culture through social media. We are proud to call some of the world’s biggest lifestyle, entertainment and culture brands our long-term clients.
Founded in 2015, we are one of the fastest-growing independent agencies in Europe. Next stop, the world. Our team gets bigger every year and we now have over 30 social specialists working from four international offices from London, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, and Cape Town, delivering work with impact and a global reach.
We aim to foster a culture that inspires our team and encourages them to inspire action in others – both inside and outside the agency, in the Wilderness. Our ambition is to be an agency that both existing and prospective clients look to as an agile and transparent partner that can deliver success.
Our agency is only as strong as our people. That’s why we aim to create the best place to work for our whole team. We believe a community-first approach to work – built around openness, communication and support – is the best way to retain and attract talent, as well as meet our clients’ needs.

The work we entered

Best Use of Paid Social

Wilderness were tasked by MGM to drive sales for the biggest film event of 2021, the release of No Time to Die. Following a hugely successful box-office release, we handled a paid social and display campaign bringing Bond to homes across Europe. We set up, managed, optimised and reported on the paid social and display campaign. We developed a comprehensive media plan for the release, as well managing the Paid Media planning & buying for advertising across Facebook & Instagram and Google Display Network.

Best Use of Social for Entertainment

Wilderness were tasked by client NOW to create an evolved campaign strategy for Succession Season 3, that set NOW apart from other broadcasters. We wanted to increase awareness that NOW is THE streaming service to watch season 3 of Succession, as well as a place to catch up on seasons one and two.We aimed to encourage community and conversations across NOW’s social channels and wider community management across the entertainment, talent and fan social spaces on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Best Use of Instagram

Wilderness worked with client Southern Comfort on their ‘Glitter Up for Mardi Gras’ campaign, a campaign that aimed to increase awareness of Southern Comfort and reach a new, younger demographic. Our strategy for reaching the target audience involved harnessing New Orlean’s culture to encourage Gen-Z’s engagement, attention and involvement. Our shoot concept and overall strategy centred around encouraging our audience to get together with their ‘krewe’ (a New Orleans term for a group of party-goers) and get dressed up to celebrate Southern Comfort’s Mardi Gras party held in late February of 2022.

Mark Hanson Award

Charlotte Sawkins joined the agency in July 2021 and quickly established herself as a dedicated team player. She is highly creative and brings innovation and fresh thinking to the table. She has worked across key accounts for the agency including Magic Light Pictures and NOW and has brought a sense of fun, openness and innovation to her work. Charlotte is well liked and well respected by everyone at Wilderness.

Wilderness being nominated for four UK Social Media Awards is an exceptional achievement and huge credit to the team’s tenacity, creativity and innovation across our client’s social-first campaigns.” Charlotte Sawkins, Social Media Manager
